Turnkey wireless solutions to build your 4G/5G network
MEC Solution
Multi-Access Edge Computing(MEC), which is proposed by ETSI, is a technology which
is based on 5G evolution architecture and deeply integrates mobile access network with
internet services. MEC can utilize wireless access network to provide services and cloud
computing functions for telecom users nearby.
Moreover, MEC can create a telecom-grade service environment with high
performance, low latency and high bandwidth with high rapid download of various
contents, services and applications in the network, which could enable consumers to
enjoy uninterrupted high-quality network experience.
As the key to the success of 5G services such as Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC), KROSS INFOTEL’ s flexible and efficient MEC solution can provide real-time, high-bandwidth, and high-security services based on specific scenario.
Build the Edge Cloud Realize URLLC scenarios for 5G
KROSS INFOTEL’s flexible and efficient MEC offloading solution covering 4G and 5G
offloading technologies provides different offloading strategies for different scenarios.
For a closed park or enterprise network, the MEC solution can be used to offload the
internal network traffic within a park or an enterprise to achieve local management
and operation of the enterprise network, thus meeting the real-time, high-bandwidth,
and high-security requirements for mobile office, video monitoring, and on-site data
collection inside the enterprise.
KROSS INFOTEL MEC products can be smoothly migrated to support 5G networks through
software update. This way, flexibility in the deployment architecture allows planning
for the introduction of MEC services as the milestone to build the edge cloud, which
is key for the success of 5G services such as URLLC (Ultra Reliable Low Latency
Communications).
Flexible Deployment
KROSS INFOTEL's MEC core network product supports standard LTE interfaces and is
interoperable with existing deployed LTE networks. It is also highly cost-effective and in
addition to having an enterprise application, can also be embedded in residential
femtocells to provide data offload functionality.
KROSS INFOTEL's MEC runs on top of the Linux operating system and can be deployed on a
standalone COTS server. When running on a COTS server, MEC can operate directly on
the server bare metal, can be run in a virtual machine or it can be deployed in a Docker
container.
Alternatively, KROSS INFOTEL's MEC can be embedded directly into an eNodeB. Deployed in
spare processor cores on the eNodeB, Our MEC can implement the same functionality
as when it is deployed on a COTS server, but the additional portability and ease of use
makes it even more suitable for deployment in smaller enterprises and homes.
